Haryana Governor Ashim Kumar Ghosh has extended his warm greetings and best wishes to the people of Haryana and the nation on Diwali. In his message, Ghosh said, “On the auspicious occasion of Diwali, I extend my warm greetings and best wishes to the people of Haryana and the nation as a whole. May this festival of lights illuminate everyone’s life with courage, vigour, sagacity and enduring good health.”
The Governor expressed hope that the festival would inspire all citizens to strengthen the bonds of unity, fraternity and goodwill and contribute meaningfully to the progress and prosperity of the state and the nation. He urged everyone to celebrate the festival safely and in an environmentally responsible manner.
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini also extended his greetings and best wishes to all people of the state on Diwali, Govardhan Puja, Vishwakarma Day and Bhai Dooj. He also expressed sincere gratitude to the people of Haryana for their trust and cooperation as the present government completes one year of its third term.
Saini said Diwali symbolised prosperity, harmony and enlightenment. He said festivals are an integral part of our culture, inspiring love, unity, and mutual cooperation among people. He said Govardhan Puja reminds us of our gratitude towards nature and the importance of environmental conservation.
Vishwakarma Day is an occasion to honor the invaluable contribution of artisans, craftsmen and workers who form the foundation of the state’s progress. The festival of Bhai Dooj strengthens the sacred bond between brothers and sisters, which is a matter of pride in our cultural heritage, he added.
The CM said during the first year of its third term, the Haryana Government had taken several historic steps for public welfare, inclusive development and good governance.
