Hafed DM Karnal suspended amid allegations of irregularities

Hafed District Manager (DM) Karnal, Amit Kumar, has been suspended by the Managing Director of Hafed. While the exact reasons behind his suspension have not been officially confirmed, sources within Hafed suggest that it is allegedly due to irregularities in various cases.

A senior Hafed official confirmed the suspension, stating that during the suspension period, Amit Kumar will receive his pay and allowances as per the Hafed Common Cadre Rules, 1988. His headquarters during the suspension have been fixed at the Hafed head office in Panchkula.

Authorities have also confirmed that a detailed report has been sought regarding the ongoing procurement process. However, the sources did not confirm whether the suspension is linked to alleged irregularities during the current paddy procurement season.
