The Gohana SDM, following the directions of Additional Chief Secretary Anand Mohan Sharan, has suspended a HAFED employee, and shifted another employee, for allegedly tampering with the weight and moisture content in the procured wheat at godowns.

As per information, Sharan visited Gohana, Kharkhoda and Sonepat grain markets on Friday to review procurement and lifting. At Gohana, arhtiyas accused Badal and Jai Prakash of tampering with the weight and moisture content at HAFED godown in Ramgarh.

They also alleged that the employees demanded money from them to set the moisture content. During an inspection on April 13, it was found that weight had been tampered with, sources claimed.
