Senior SAD leader Bikram Singh Majithia today asked the Haryana Government to hand over a young farmer, who had been injured and ‘kidnapped’ by cops, to his family.

He condemned Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann for failing to take up the case with his counterpart in Haryana.

Majithia said, “A 30-year-old, Preetpal Singh, was kidnapped by the Haryana Police when he had gone to distribute langar at Khanauri barrier.” He said Preetpal was taken across the barricades and brutally thrashed.

Majithia, who addressed the media along with Preetpal’s father Devinder Singh, said a false case had been registered against Preetpal, who had been admitted to the PGI-Rohtak, but was being denied treatment.

Devinder said, “Preetpal needs urgent leg and jaw line surgery. We want to shift him to another hospital.”
