Hansi town of Hisar district today observed a complete bandh today with the shopkeepers and traders resorting to strike in protest against the murder of JJP leader and owner of a motorcycle agency Ravinder Saini two days ago.

After meeting CM, kin cremate body

The body of JJP leader Ravinder Saini was cremated on Friday evening after the family members and traders returned to Hansi after holding a meeting with CM Nayab Singh Saini in Chandigarh

Residents of the town while responding to the call of various trader organisations observed a complete shutdown in the town today. All the markets and shopping centres remained closed throughout the day.

The traders led by Haryana Vyapar Mandal president Bajrang Das Garg, Ram Avtar Tayal and other trader leaders carried out a protest march in the town and raised slogans against the police. The traders gathered outside the Civil Hospital and staged a dharna. They demanded the arrest of all the accused involved in the murder of Saini. Trader leaders said the police and the state government were inefficient in dealing with the criminals.

Trader organisations have demanded that they would not cremate the body until the accused involved in the crime are arrested and also raised the demand of a compensation of Rs 1 crore and a government job to the family of the victim.
