Haryana BJP removes IT cell incharge Arun Yadav over objectionable tweets

Another BJP leader has run into controversy over alleged objectionable tweets about Prophet Mohammad.

A series of tweets posted in 2017 and May 2022 have gone viral on twitter and BJP IT cell Incharge Arun Yadav has been accused of insulting Prophet Mohammad and Islam and spreading hatred.

No formal police complaint has been filed, but#arrestArunYadav is trending on twitter.

Reacting to the controversy, Haryana BJP president OP Dhankar has removed Yadav from his post with immediate effect. There is no decision on his party membership so far.

Both Arun Yadav and OP Dhankar remained unavailable for comment.
