The ruling BJP today shifted its headquarters from Rohtak to Panchkula, a move which coincided with party's foundation day and Ram Navami.

Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, BJP chief Mohan Lal Badoli, Rajya Sabga MP Rekha Sharma and MLA Shakti Rani Sharma were among those who were present at the “havan” organised as part of the formal function to inaugurate the Panch Kamal complex in Panchkula, near Chandigarh, the joint capital of Punjab and Haryana.

The shift marks a significant transition for the party’s administrative hub from Jatland Rohtak to Panchkula.

Party leaders said the shift was part of new strategy of forging better synergy between the Haryana BJP government and the party organisation.

Since Panchkula is connected well with air, rail and road networks, the state-of-the-art Panch Kamal office complex was an obvious choice for the new administrative office.
