Haryana board Class 10 results declared, girls outshine boys

Rewari district tops state performance charts, followed by Charkhi Dadri and Mahendragarh

The Board of School Education Haryana (BSEH) on Saturday announced the results for the 2025 Secondary (Class 10) Annual Examinations for both regular and open school candidates.

The overall pass percentage for regular students was 92.49%, while private candidates recorded a pass percentage of 73.08%.

In the open school category, fresh candidates recorded a pass percentage of 15.79%, while 70.23% of re-appear candidates cleared the exams. The results are available on the official website: www.bseh.org.in.

Announcing the results at a press conference, Board Chairman Dr Pawan Kumar stated that a total of 2,71,499 students appeared for the regular exams, with 2,51,110 passing. Around 5,737 students have been marked for essential repeat (E.R.), meaning they will need to retake the exams.

Girls once again outperformed boys, with a pass percentage of 94.06% (121,566 out of 129,249), compared to 91.07% for boys (129,544 out of 142,250), giving girls a 2.99% lead.

Government school students recorded a pass percentage of 89.30%, while private school students performed better with a pass rate of 96.28%. Rural candidates achieved a pass rate of 92.35%, slightly trailing behind urban students, who recorded a pass rate of 92.83%.

Rewari district topped the state performance charts, followed by Charkhi Dadri and Mahendragarh, while Nuh recorded the lowest performance.

Vice chairman Satish Kumar highlighted that 3,243 private (self-study) candidates appeared for the exams, with 2,370 passing, yielding a pass percentage of 73.08%.

Board secretary Munish Nagpal announced that results for various Open School categories — Fresh, Re-appear, Improvement, Additional Subject, and Mercy Chance — have also been released.

In the Fresh category, 7,554 students appeared, with 1,193 passing, resulting in a pass rate of 15.79%. The boys’ pass percentage was 14.59% (688 out of 4,714), while girls achieved a pass rate of 17.78% (505 out of 2,840).

In the Re-appear category, 5,596 students appeared for the exams, with 3,930 passing, resulting in a pass percentage of 70.23%.

Students wishing to apply for rechecking or re-evaluation of their answer sheets can do so online within 20 days of the result declaration by paying the prescribed fee, added the board secretary.
