Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate air travel services from Maharaja Agrasen Airport, Hisar, on April 14, coinciding with the birth anniversary of Dr BR Ambedkar. On the same day, he will also lay the foundation stone for a new 800 MW unit at the Deenbandhu Chaudhary Chhotu Ram Thermal Power Plant in Yamunanagar.

Ahead of the visit, Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi today reviewed the preparations in a meeting attended by Chief Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Rajesh Khullar, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Arun Gupta, and senior civil and police officers from various departments.

Rastogi directed officials to ensure robust security and cleanliness measures at both venues. He also emphasised the need for an uninterrupted power supply and adequate drinking water arrangements.

Considering the anticipated large public turnout, the Chief Secretary stressed the need for effective traffic management to prevent inconvenience to visitors.
