Haryana Class 10 results out, girls outshine boys with pass percentage of 94.06
The Board of School Education Haryana (BSEH) today declared the results for the Secondary (Class 10) Annual Examinations 2025 for both regular and open school candidates. The overall pass percentage for regular students stood at 92.49 while that of private candidates 73.08.
In the open school category, the fresh candidates had a pass percentage of 15.79. The re-appear category saw 70.23% students clearing the exams. The results are available on the official website, www.bseh.org.in.
Board Chairman Pawan Kumar said a total of 2,71,499 students appeared in the regular exams, of which 251,110 passed. Around 5,737 students have been marked for essential repeat (ER), meaning they need to retake the exams. Girls once again outshone boys with a pass percentage of 94.06 (1,21,566 out of 1,29,249), compared to 91.07 for boys (1,29,544 out of 1,42,250).
4 students share top slot
Rohit from Hisar, Mahi from Ambala, and Roma and Tanya from Jhajjar shared the top slot by scoring 497 marks in the Class 10 examinations. Six students -- Akshit Sahrawat (Panipat), Yogesh (Kaithal), Rinku (Panipat), Divyanshi and Deeksha (Rohtak), and Sunaina (Hisar) -- secured the second position with 496 marks. The third position was shared by 10 students who scored 495 marks. These are Nidhi (Jind), Mansi (Rohtak), Rama and Akshita (Charkhi Dadri), Garvita and Khushboo (Hisar), Khushi (Rewari), Megha (Bhiwani), Jeena Chauhan (Karnal) and Ishu (Jhajjar).
Government school students recorded a pass percentage of 89.30 while private school students fared better at 96.28%. Rural candidates had a pass rate of 92.35%, slightly behind urban students at 92.83%. Rewari district topped the state performance charts, followed by Charkhi Dadri and Mahendragarh, while Nuh ranked the lowest.
Board Vice-Chairman Satish Kumar highlighted that 3,243 private (self-study) candidates had taken the exam, with 2,370 passing it, resulting in the pass percentage of 73.08%.
Board Secretary Munish Nagpal said the results for various open school categories had also been released. In the fresh category, of the total 7,554 students, 1,193 cleared the exam, registering 15.79% pass rate. The pass percentage of boys is 14.59 (688 out of 4,714), and that of girls is 17.78% (505 out of 2,840). In the re-appear category, 5,596 students appeared, and 3,930 passed, resulting in a pass percentage of 70.23.
Students who wished to apply for rechecking or re-evaluation of their answer sheets may do so online within 20 days of the declaration of results by paying the prescribed fee, the secretary said.
