On his visit to Fatehabad district on Saturday, Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini inaugurated many development projects and made appearances at several public events. Speaking on the cultural significance of Panchnad, he said the term represents the land of the five rivers, Sutlej, Beas, Ravi, Chenab and Jhelum, which birthed and nourished one of the world’s oldest and richest civilisations. In response to requests made by ex-MLA Dura Ram and BJP district president Praveen Jaura, he announced a grant of Rs 31 lakh for the Panchnad Smarak Trust.
