Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar ‘stable and comfortable’

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar who was shifted to Medanta Medicity in Gurugram late on Monday night following testing positive for COVID-19, is “stable and comfortable”, according to doctors attending on him.
According to Dr AK Dubey, Medical Superintendent of Medanta, Khattar (66) developed fever and body ache from the last three days. Considering his age and history of diabetes, he was admitted to Medanta on August 25 at around 2.30 am.
He was examined by Covid care ward team led by Dr Sushila Kataria and treatment was started as per protocol immediately.
“He has been maintaining his vital parameters—pulse, respiration and blood pressure. His general condition is stable and he is comfortable,” said Dr Dubey.
Meanwhile, Haryana Assembly Speaker Gian Chand Gupta, who also tested positive for the virus yesterday, has also been shifted to Medanta today.
Transport Minister Mool Chand Sharma and Gharaunda MLA Harvinder Kalyan tested positive for the virus today and both of them have isolated themselves at their homes.
With this, the CM, the Speaker, a Cabinet minister and 4 MLAs—Assem Goyal (Ambala City), Laxman Napa (Ratia), Ram Kumar Kashyap (Indri) and Harvinder Kalyan (Gharaunda) are now among the Covid positive cases while two other MLAs, Subhash Sudha (Thanesar) and Mahipal Dhanda (Panipat Rural) have already contracted virus and recovered.
