Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar tells officials to check tax evasion in mandis

Chandigarh, June 17

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has directed officials of the Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board to take effective steps to check evasion of tax in mandis.

These directions were given by the CM at a meeting of marketing board officials held here today.

Khattar said assessment of vendors should be done in every mandi in the state so that complete information could be collected and tax paid accordingly. CCTV cameras should also be installed in all mandis, said Khattar.

He told officials to develop apple market at Pinjore, and hold auction of shops there.
