Rohtak: A letter appointing a Chief Principal Secretary and a Principal Secretary to the BJP’s Rohtak district president went viral on social media on Saturday. Printed on official letterhead and bearing the signature of district president, the letter sparked both laughter and confusion as such designations are reserved for senior administrative roles. As the letter became a topic of public discussion, district president Ranvir Singh Dhaka dismissed it as fake.

Violator holds ears, apologises

Yamunanagar: Officials of the Municipal Corporation, Yamunanagar-Jagadhri (MCYJ), are very excited after securing 47th rank in the Swachh Survekshan-2024 against the rank of 221 in Swachh Survekshan 2023. In Haryana, the MCYJ got 11th rank. Now, the officials of the MCYJ have started making efforts to improve its rank in 2025-26 and adopting a number of methods for this work. Recently, the officials of the MCYJ caught a man throwing garbage in the open. Instead of issuing him a challan, they made him apologise by holding ears. An official of the MCYJ said that besides punishing the violators, they were spreading awareness also.

Differences in BJP come to fore

Ambala: Differences among BJP leaders in Ambala City has come to the fore once again after Ritesh Goel, a BJP leader and brother of former BJP MLA Aseem Goel, raised questions over the functioning of some BJP leaders in Ambala City. Without naming any person, Ritesh Goel said that several people who claim to be party leaders in Ambala City raise questions over the work done by the government while they claim to be senior party leaders. Goel also raised questions over the functioning of the Mayor, who belonged to the BJP. He said the Mayor, Senior Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayor, all are from the BJP, but still the corporation was not functioning properly.

‘Give credit where it is due’

Gurugram: Businessman and columnist Suhel Seth had hit the headlines recently by slamming the state of civic governance in Gurugram. Seth called the city “a shame on this country". However, within days or so he took to X to ‘give credit where it's due’. Seth wrote on X that he received two calls from authorities in this regard. He wrote, “Credit where credit is due, received two calls: One from @RajeevJaitly and the other from @PradeepIAS_HR, both have stated that the Haryana CM @NayabSainiBJP is seized of the issues pertaining to Gurugram and action has begun and a change will be seen soonest."
