Ambala: The restoration of traffic at the Shambhu border has come as a big relief not only for the commuters and local businessmen, but also for local BJP leaders. The closure of the border was among the major political issues. The BJP leaders not only faced the farmers' wrath, but also that of local residents during the elections. The Opposition too prominently raised the issue during the election. The border is now open and local BJP leaders can now be at ease.

Karnal: Karnal’s Ward 10, which includes Sector 13, has become a battleground between former councillor Vir Vikram Kumar, the father of Independent Councillor Aashya Kumar, and BJP workers over credit for development works. Vikram's recent posts about the laying of stormwater lines in the ward have irked BJP leaders, who are claiming the work was the result of their government’s efforts. Interestingly, Vikram was denied the BJP ticket, after which he fielded her daughter.

Khedar back in saddle

Hisar: The BJP has reinstalled Asha Khedar as the party's district president. She was removed from the post after Lok Sabha candidate Ranjit Singh Chautala reportedly cast aspersions on her role during the 2024 General Election. With Ranjit no more with the BJP, the party has entrusted Khedar with the responsibility again. Ranjit refused to comment on Khedar’s re-appointment, saying it was the BJP's internal matter and he had nothing to do with it.
