Ambala: The ongoing campaign to shift stray cows to ‘gaushalas’ has put the local leaders, especially the elected members of the Municipal Corporation, in a fix as the small-time dairy operators, who leave their cattle open, have been requesting the local leaders to get their cows released from the ‘gaushalas’. Then, the councillors and other public representatives are requesting the MC authorities for the same. But, following strict guidelines from the state government, they are being told to wait as the campaign is still on. The small-time dairy operators are also being told to get ready to pay penalty.

A protest demanding it be renamed after Rao Tula Ram has been going strong for over three months, but no one appears bothered about the lack of doctors and other facilities that are needed to start the MBBS course and offer proper treatment.
