Haryana farmers have no issues; protests led by Punjab growers: Ranbir Gangwa
Cabinet Minister Ranbir Gangwa, speaking at the inauguration of a private school in Sirsa on Thursday, asserted that the ongoing farmer protests are predominantly a concern for Punjab farmers, not Haryana. “The Haryana Government ensures crop procurement at minimum support price (MSP) and processes payments within 72 hours, leaving no issues for our farmers,” he said.
Highlighting the state’s farmer-friendly policies, Gangwa said, “We provide MSP for 24 crops and have implemented several welfare schemes. The BJP government has been diligently working since day one to uplift the farming community and fulfil its promises.”
He also referred to an early achievement of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, recalling, “After taking the oath, the CM provided 25,000 jobs to youth immediately, demonstrating the government’s commitment.”
Taking a jab at the Opposition, Gangwa said the Congress in Haryana is fragmented. “It is no longer a unified political force but a collection of disconnected factions. The people of Haryana have lost trust in them,” he said.
The minister also discussed the government’s focus on infrastructure development. He said the Public Works Department renovates 5,000 km of roads annually while constructing new roads to improve connectivity. Under the Jal Jeevan Mission, efforts are being made to ensure clean drinking water reaches every household. “We are installing pipelines and boosting stations wherever required and there will be no compromise on quality. Strict action will be taken against negligence,” Gangwa assured.
On education, Gangwa emphasised the importance of good schooling and instilling values in children for holistic development.
The minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to its manifesto promises and overall development in sectors like agriculture, employment, education and infrastructure. “Haryana is on a path of progress and we are ensuring growth across all areas,” he said.
