The Haryana Vidhan Sabha today initiated discussion on Governor’s Address, with members of the ruling BJP-JJP terming it as a roadmap for future.

Initiating the discussion, Harvinder Kalyan, BJP’s MLA from Gharaunda, claimed that Governor’s Address, while recapturing the achievements of the BJP-JJP government led by CM Manohar Lal Khattar over the past nine years, provided a roadmap for future for the state in line with the vision of “Vikshit Bharat” by 2024.

Congress must change mindset

There has been atleast 150% increase in the MSP of all crops since 2014 when the BJP formed government at the centre and the state. The Congress need to change its mindset to see the unprecedented development across the state and the country. Harvinder Kalyan, BJP MLA

Claiming that Khattar had imbibed the teachings of the Gita in the true sense of the term by doing unprecedented development across the state without expecting any rewards, Kalyan asserted that transparency had been the hallmark of the government. “Merit-based recruitment in government jobs has renewed the common man’s faith in governance,” the MLA claimed. Coming down heavily on the Congress for its failure to see “overall’ development across the state, he said there had been at least 150% increase in the MSP of all crops since 2014.

Almost all pending works of the previous Congress government, including regularisation of illegal colonies, completion of highway projects, filling of vacant posts and improved infrastructure had been completed during the BJP regime, Kalyan said.

JJP legislator Jogi Ram Sihag said, “With welfare schemes launched for all sections of society, the state is on a new trajectory of development,” he said.
