Chandigarh, February 14

A scuffle between Haryana Police and farmers took place at Khanauri border on Wednesday afternoon when farmers tried to cross barricades.

Police resorted to lathicharge and fired tear gas shells, causing injuries to some farmers.

Meanwhile, Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij said they were surprised that the Punjab government had issued a notice asking Haryana not to send drones in their territory.

He said it was a state border and not the international one. When the farmers started moving, no attempts were made by Punjab to stop them, he added.

At Hisar, a security assistant of Jind police was held up by the Punjab farmers when he went towards Punjab to gather reports at Data Singh Wala border in Jind district.
