The Haryana minister has changed his bio from ‘Anil Vij Minister Haryana, India’ to ‘Anil Vij Ambala Cantt Haryana, India’.

The outspoken BJP leader has been marking his resentment openly on the social media platforms; however, he avoids making any comment about his unhappiness with the party leadership in Haryana.

Speaking to The Tribune, Vij clarified that he had "dropped" ‘minister’ from his X account since he did not want popularity as a minister.

"I don't want to grow my viewership and followers as a minister. My followers on X were growing way faster when I did not have the minister tag. Vij itself is a tag now. I don't need a tag anymore," he said.

Vij had dropped the minister tag from his Facebook account nearly a year back.

Earlier, Vij had targeted his own party and accused some party leaders of running a parallel BJP in Ambala Cantonment.

He had taken to his X account to vent his ire saying, “In Ambala Cantonment, some people are running a parallel BJP with the blessings of those above. What we should do. The party is suffering a lot of damage.”

He had also sought suggestions from his supporters in the ‘comment box’. However, later, he refused to make any comment.

Even last year, he had edited his bio on his social media handle and removed ‘Modi Ka Parivar’ tagline.

Later, he had again added the tagline but it was placed down. He had to issue a clarification in a social media post claiming he is a staunch devotee of the BJP.
