Haryana MLAs to take oath on Oct 25

The newly elected MLAs of Haryana will be administered oath as the members of the state Legislative Assembly on October 25 at the Vidhan Sabha complex here.

Raghuvir Singh Kadian (80), senior-most legislator of the Assembly and seven-time MLA, currently MLA from Beri in Rohtak district, has been appointed pro-term Speaker. ”The Governor Bandaru Dattatreya will administer oath or affirmation to the Acting Speaker on October 25 at Raj Bhavan,” an official communication to the Secretary of the Vidhan Sabha said. Later, Kadian will administer oath to the 90 MLAs.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
