The launch coincided with the first day of Navratri and Maharaja Agrasen Jayanti.
Addressing a gathering at Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science & Technology (DCRUST), Murthal, as part of the Sewa Pakhwada campaign, Saini said, “This is not just an inauguration of projects but a symbol of our resolve and commitment to take Haryana to new heights of development.”
The CM dedicated to the public 72 women cultural centres, 90 indoor gyms, 69 yoga and exercise centres, 101 roads under the Mukhyamantri Kisan Khet Sadak Yojana and streetlights in 225 villages. He also inaugurated women’s health camps under Swasth Nari-Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan and the 8th Poshan Maah.
On women’s empowerment, Saini said, “When women are empowered, families, society and the nation will be strong. The cultural centres inaugurated today will serve as platforms for women to showcase their talents.” With this, he said, 203 women cultural centres have been opened in Haryana so far.
On fitness initiatives, the CM said, “Ensuring the health and fitness of every citizen of Haryana is part of the government’s resolve. Today, 90 indoor gyms and 69 yoga and exercise centres were inaugurated as part of this initiative. So far, 892 yoga and exercise centres have been opened across the state.”
He further stressed rural development, saying streetlights were being installed in the 10 most populous villages of each block and all Mahagram villages.
The CM also welcomed recent GST relief announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying, “Its benefits began from the first day of Navratri. These exemptions will increase savings for the common man. It is a matter of pride that the announcement of GST reforms was made from the Red Fort on August 15.”
Development and Panchayats Minister Krishan Lal Panwar said, “The inauguration of women cultural centres, indoor stadiums, yoga and exercise centres, roads and streetlights has been made possible under the inspiration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and guidance of CM Nayab Singh Saini. These projects will not only strengthen village infrastructure but also empower women, improve youth health, preserve culture and ensure overall development.”
Senior officials and leaders, including Dr Saket Kumar, Commissioner and Secretary of Development & Panchayat Department, Dr Arvind Sharma, Cooperation and Tourism Minister, BJP State president Mohan Lal Badoli, and several MLAs, attended the programme.
