Video blames officials for corruption and harassment
The body of an Assistant Sub-Inspector of the Haryana Police was recovered from his residence on the Ladhaut-Dhamar Road in Rohtak on Tuesday and it is alleged that he died by suicide.
ASI Sandeep Kumar was posted in Rohtak and it is alleged that he shot himself dead with a revolver. A note has reportedly been recovered, though the police are yet to confirm its contents.
Following the incident, a video purportedly featuring Sandeep went viral on social media. In the video, he is heard praising Haryana DGP Shatrujeet Singh Kapur and former Rohtak SP Narendra Bijarniya, describing them as honest officers.

Incidentally, Haryana IPS officer Y Puran Kumar, who died allegedly by suicide in Chandigarh recently, had accused the DGP and Bijarniya of caste bias and harassment.
In the same video, Sandeep attributed his extreme step to certain police officials posted at the IGP office in Rohtak. He accused them of spreading corruption, harassing fellow officers through caste-based discrimination, and committing atrocities against honest police personnel. He also mentioned the late senior IPS officer Y. Puran Kumar in this context.
Sandeep stated in the video that he was inspired by Bhagat Singh and did not fear anyone. He expressed that his "sacrifice is intended to awaken the people and the nation".
Sandeep was hardworking, honest employee: Rohtak SP Bhoria
Rohtak SP Surender Singh Bhoria, described Sandeep as a hardworking and honest employee. “We arrived at the scene after receiving information about his body. It is an unfortunate incident. The forensic team has been called in and further details will emerge as the investigation progresses,” he added.
