Ramphal Dhankar, DEEO, Panipat

According to sources, a team led by DEEO Ramphal Dhankar conducted a surprise inspection at the school yesterday afternoon and found all six teachers, including Rajiv Kumar, Seema, Indu Bala, Asha Devi, Preeti and Rosy, absent and the premises locked during working hours. While seven teachers are posted in the school, one is on child care leave (CCL).

None of the 125 students enrolled in the school were found on the premises. The DEEO placed all six teachers under suspension for dereliction of duty and deputed three teachers from nearby schools for smooth functioning of classes.

Interestingly, Dhankar has been transferred to Sonepat district. Dhankar, however, said he had requested for the transfer as his family lived in the district. — TNS
