Haryana Speaker inaugurates new block at government school in Gharaunda
Haryana Assembly Speaker Harvinder Kalyan inaugurated a new two-story block at the Government Model Sanskriti Senior Secondary School in Gharaunda, encouraging students to focus on their education while actively engaging in cultural programmes. Addressing the students, Kalyan emphasised the importance of adopting a "smart" mindset and integrating modern technology into their learning process.
The newly constructed block includes 14 classrooms, six toilets for boys and girls and two specially designed toilets for differently-abled students. Built at a cost of over Rs 1.95 crore, the new infrastructure aims to enhance the quality of education in the region.
Kalyan praised the talent of both students and teachers in the Gharaunda area and highlighted the country's rich educational heritage. He spoke about the destruction of institutions like Nalanda University during colonial and Mughal rule, stressing the need to preserve and appreciate cultural and educational advancements.
Encouraging students to make the best use of modern technology for learning, Kalyan urged them to develop a visionary mind-set. "Students should set clear life goals and work diligently to achieve them. Education should not be pursued just for degrees but to gain real knowledge," he remarked.
The Speaker also pointed out that government jobs in Haryana are now being offered purely on merit, eliminating favouritism and corruption from the recruitment process.
Kalyan concluded by announcing that the inauguration of the school’s new auditorium would take place soon.
