Union minister and former CM Manohar Lal Khattar on Saturday dispatched a truck of relief material from Sonepat for flood-affected areas in Punjab while minister Krishan Lal Panwar flagged off six trucks loaded with essential relief goods for the flood victims in Punjab from Panipat.

Khattar said the natural calamity had affected the lives in Punjab, and the entire country, especially Haryana, stood in solidarity with the people of Punjab in this crisis. He said the truck laden with essential goods, including food packets, soaps, potable water, medical kits and mosquito nets, had been sent to Hoshiarpur district. More trucks would be sent to Gurdaspur and Pathankot from Sonepat district, he said.

Bhiwani MP Dharmvir Singh, MLA Rai Krishna Gahlot, MLA Sonepat city Nikhil Madaan, MLA Gannaur Devender Kadyan, Mayor Rajiv Jain, along with other BJP leaders, were present.

In Panipat, Krishan Lal Panwar, Minister for Development, Panchayat and Mining, flagged off six trucks to Punjab. The minister said people of Panipat had sent relief material, including potable water, food items and medicines worth Rs 1 crore.
