Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test: 22,568 candidates set to appear for exam in Sirsa

To ensure the smooth and transparent conduct of the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) scheduled on July 30 and 31, a review meeting was held at the local Panchayat Bhawan on Tuesday. At the meeting, all duty magistrates, observers, and exam centre superintendents appointed for the examination were given clear guidelines. Their doubts and queries were also resolved during the session.

A total of 22,568 candidates will appear for the HTET exam in the district. On July 30, the Level-3 exam will be conducted at 21 exam centres from 3 pm to 5:30 pm, with 6,360 candidates appearing. On July 31, the Level-2 exam will be held in the session from 10 am to 12:30 pm at 40 centres, where 11,703 candidates are expected to take the test. The Level-1 exam will also be conducted on July 31, from 3 pm to 5:30 pm, at 15 centres with 4,505 candidates.

One exam centre in Sirsa centre code 17040 (PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1) has been cancelled. The affected candidates have now been shifted to centre code 17042 (Arya Senior Secondary School, Patel Basti).

The HTET Nodal Officer and SDM Rajendra Kumar instructed all officials to complete their assigned duties responsibly and immediately report any issues to the higher authorities. He stated that conducting the exam without any problems and with complete fairness was a collective responsibility. He urged everyone to work together as a team to ensure success.

The SDM said strict rules would be enforced during the exam. From 12 noon on July 30 until the conclusion of the exams on July 31, Section 163 will remain in effect around all exam centres. No person would be allowed to carry weapons within a 200-m radius of any centre. Only candidates with valid admit cards and identity proof would be allowed to enter.

District Education Officer Ved Singh Dahiya has been appointed as the coordinator for the HTET exam in the district. To maintain law and order during the exam, adequate police forces will be deployed at all centres. As many as 44 duty magistrates, including four reserves, have been appointed and flying squads will be actively monitoring the centres.
