The Haryana State Song Selection Committee is nearing the completion of its work, with the final version of the song expected to be announced in the upcoming Budget session of the Vidhan Sabha. Haryana Assembly Speaker Harvinder Kalyan attended the 10th meeting of the committee on Monday, where he, along with other officials and members, reviewed the proposed song. After listening to the song, Kalyan praised it, stating that it effectively represents Haryana as a whole. "The lyrics and music of the song are quite impressive," he said, adding that the song encapsulates the glorious history, cultural heritage, geographical structure and development journey of the state. The committee is expected to submit its final report soon. Highlighting the hard work put in by the committee members, officials and artists, Kalyan said, "The emotion and language of the song are very impressive." He noted that the song beautifully captures Haryana’s festive culture, simplicity of its people and mutual brotherhood. It also pays tribute to the state’s farmers, soldiers and sportspersons, emphasising their contributions to Haryana’s identity. Additionally, the song sheds light on Haryana’s progress in education and business while depicting the vibrant folk life of the region. The meeting was attended by Committee chairman Laxman Singh Yadav, members Geeta Bhukkal and Vinod Bhayana, along with Amit Agrawal, Principal Secretary of the Art and Cultural Affairs Department and KM Pandurang, Director General of the department.
