Haryana Tourism Corporation Limited will mark the 50th anniversary of its founding with grand celebrations across the state on September 1.
The occasion, commemorating the establishment of Haryana Tourism Corporation on September 1 in 1974, promises a diverse lineup of activities aimed at adventure lovers, food enthusiasts and those passionate about social causes.
Haryana Tourism (Zonal Head) Gurugram, Harvinder Singh Yadav, said this year’s celebrations would be particularly special, featuring a variety of events at tourist resorts across the state. These events aim to showcase Haryana’s natural beauty, cultural heritage and promote the importance of civic engagement.
In collaboration with the Forest Department of Haryana, adventure seekers can look forward to trekking activities in the picturesque Aravalli Hills, with events planned at Saras Tourist Resort, Damdama; Barbet Tourist Resort, Sohna; and Rosy Pelican Tourist Resort, Sultanpur. These treks will offer participants a unique opportunity to explore the forest ecosystem, enjoy breathtaking views of the Aravalli mountains and engage in bird watching and tree assessment activities.
He also highlighted several key activities planned for Haryana Tourism Day. In which Saras Tourist Resort, Damdama: The Aravalli Nature Trail Trek will start at 7 am, beginning from Saras Tourist Complex, Damdama, and ending at Baba Bala Dass Mandir, Village Bhelpa. Additional activities include a race for senior citizens, a drawing competition on the theme of tourism, a special lecture on the power of voting ‘Cast Your Vote’ and a Rangoli competition.
Yadav concluded by emphasising that Haryana Tourism Day 2024 will offer something for everyone, providing a vibrant showcase of Haryana’s natural beauty, cultural richness and the significance of participating in the democratic process. The celebration is planned to be an unforgettable experience, encouraging both locals and visitors to appreciate the unique charm and spirit of Haryana.
