The Union Public Service Commission’s latest civil services exam results have ignited celebrations across Haryana, with several candidates securing top ranks — including two serving Haryana Civil Services officers.

Mechanical engineer Aditya Vikram Agarwal of Bahadurgarh cracked the exam in his fifth attempt, clinching an impressive 9th rank. His neighbour, Abhilash Sundram — son of a private school owner — jumped from 421st last year to 129th this year.

From Sonepat, Shreyak Garg achieved 35th rank. Son of Professor RK Garg (Dean of Engineering, DCRUST Murthal), Shreyak holds an MBBS from MGIMS, Wardha. In Panipat’s Bhodwal Majri village, 23‑year‑old Shivani Panchal — a civil engineering graduate from NIT Kurukshetra and a 2024 HPSC qualifier now in SDM training — secured 53rd rank, overcoming the early loss of her father in a 2005 accident.

From Atta village in Panipat, IIT Roorkee graduate Himanshu (25) ranked 209th, crediting “focused study sessions with peers” and “6–8 hours of daily preparation.” Fatehabad’s Vijaylakshmi from Tharwa village broke new ground in the Tohana region by securing 233rd rank, calling her success “the result of hard work and unwavering family support.”

Ajay Kolia (24) of Dhani Gopal village, Fatehabad, ranked 895th and has since been appointed Gram Sachiv; his younger brother is a Haryana Police officer.
