Haryana's upcoming Budget to be growth-oriented: CM Saini
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has assured that the upcoming state Budget for 2025-26 will be growth-oriented, focusing on key sectors such as agriculture, education, health, sports, infrastructure and women empowerment. He emphasised that the Budget will play a crucial role in shaping the state’s progress in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047.
Saini presided over a meeting with administrative secretaries of various departments in Panchkula as part of the ongoing pre-Budget consultations. The Budget Session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha is scheduled to begin on March 7.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister sought inputs from administrative secretaries to incorporate into the state Budget, acknowledging their vital role in the Budget formulation process. “Several new initiatives focused on the welfare of all sections of society will be introduced in this Budget,” he said.
Highlighting the government’s reforms, Saini said, “Our administration has brought about a revolutionary change in governance over the past 10 years, marking the most significant transformation in over a decade.”
The two-day pre-Budget consultation brought together ministers, MLAs and administrative secretaries to provide insights and suggestions for the 2025-26 state Budget. Key areas discussed during the meeting included improvements in road infrastructure, sports facilities, water supply, electricity, and transport, industrial development and optimal utilisation of government properties. The other areas discussed included eradication of the drug network and rehabilitation of addicts, equitable distribution of irrigation water, digitisation of government departments, better accommodation facilities for officers, strengthening cybercrime measures, capacity building, and traffic management.
