Haryanvi model Sheetal murder: Body found in NCR canal, boyfriend's car abandoned nearby

The body of a young woman found in the NCR cannel between Khanda and Jharothi villages, under the jurisdiction of the Kharkhoda police station, has been identified.

The deceased has been identified as Sheetal, a model associated with the Haryanvi music industry, originally from Khalila Majra village in Panipat.

Sheetal had recently moved to Sat Kartar Colony in Panipat with her sister Neha.

On Sunday, Neha had filed a missing person’s report at the Old Industrial Area Police Station in Panipat after losing contact with Sheetal.

According to the family, Sheetal was last seen with her boyfriend. His car was also found near the canal where her body was found.

The family alleged before disappearing, Sheetal had video-called her sister accused her boyfriend of assaulted and attacked her.

After that call, she could not be contacted, and her body was later discovered in the canal on Sunday night, they clained.

Kharkhoda police station in-charge Prem Kumar confirmed that they received information about a missing girl from Panipat.

Preliminary investigations have led to the identification of the body as Sheetal.

Police have contacted the family for confirmation and are investigating all aspects related to Sheetal’s boyfriend and the circumstances surrounding her death.
