Health Minister addresses grievances in Rewari dist
Health Minister Arti Singh Rao on Wednesday addressed public grievances at her camp office in Rewari.
With the onset of the summer, people highlighted problems related to electricity outages, shortage of drinking water and the need for proper cleaning of village sewer systems. Taking the grievances seriously, Rao issued instructions to officials of the departments concerned to take immediate necessary action.
Several officials began the process of addressing public issues on the spot.
On the occasion, a delegation from the Koriawas village panchayat in Mahendragarh district met the Health Minister and submitted a memorandum requesting that the under-construction medical college in the village be named after freedom fighter Rao Tula Ram.
The delegation said Rao Tula Ram had made a significant contribution to the history of the region, and naming the college after him would be a fitting tribute to his sacrifice.
The Health Minister assured the delegation that their demand would be duly presented before the state government, and would be positively considered.
She said the government respected public sentiment, adding that it was important to honour historical contributions of great personalities in developmental initiatives.
Kosli MLA Anil Yadav, district administration officials, local BJP leaders, representatives of various panchayats, members of social organisations and area residents were among those present at the event.
