Patients welcomed the resumption of services, though not many visited rural hospitals as news of the strike being called off reached villages late.

Surgeries under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, which had been put on hold, resumed on Friday. Medico-Legal Reports (MLRs), previously referred to Agroha during the strike period, are now being issued at local hospitals.

The reopening of the ultrasound facility brought relief to patients, with around 40 scans performed today. Manjeet Kaur from Rania, who had been unable to get a scan for two days due to the strike, said she immediately came to hospital after the facility reopened and received her report by 11.30 am. Other patients, including Muskaan from Thehad Mohalla and Rehana from Rania Chungi, expressed similar relief.

With the strike over, hospital operations are returning to normal. Officials expect patient numbers to rise to normal level in the coming days.
