Chandigarh: The Punjab and Haryana High Court on Friday dismissed a petition challenging the constitutional validity of the sedition law in the wake of the registration of a case against 100 protesting farmers on July 11. The Haryana Progressive Farmers Union had sought the quashing of Section 124A of the IPC on the grounds that it was violative of Articles 14, 19(1)(a) and 21 of the Constitution of India. TNS
