Hisar administration urges students to reach exam centres early ahead of President Murmu’s visit

Major routes might face restrictions due to security protocol on March 10

President Droupadi Murmu is set to visit Hisar on March 10 to participate in the convocation function at Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology (GJUST). In view of this visit, Deputy Commissioner Anish Yadav has urged students appearing for board exams to reach their centres before the scheduled time as the traffic movement is expected to be affected on several key routes due to security arrangements.

The district administration has urged students and their guardians to plan their travel accordingly to prevent any inconvenience.

District Education Officer Pradeep Narwal urged the students to arrive at their centres by 10.30 am to avoid inconvenience. He emphasised that major routes might face restrictions due to security protocol. He said the students who will appear in the exams at centres, including Arya Nagar-1 Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Hisar-8 Government Girls Senior Secondary School near Sushila Bhawan, Maharaja Agrasen Public Senior Secondary School at Anaj Mandi, PGSD Senior Secondary School at Padav Chowk, and the Welfare Centre for Hearing and Speech Impaired, must reach well in advance. Other affected centres include CAV Senior Secondary School near DN College, Guru Nanak Senior Secondary School in Rishi Nagar, JN Arya Girls Senior Secondary School near bus stand, and Shri Devi Bhawan High School near Devi Bhawan Temple.

Meanwhile, the district authorities reviewed the arrangements for the President’s visit today. DC Yadav designated nodal officers and urged them to rigorously monitor security and logistics.

They conducted inspections at GJUST, Peace Palace at Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwavidyalaya, and Hisar airport. He instructed officials to conduct rehearsals for the planned activities. Several officials, including Assistant Director Ravi Sethi, Superintendent of Police Shashank Kumar Sawan, Hansi Superintendent of Police Hemender Kumar Meena, Superintendent of Police, Additional Deputy Commissioner C Jayashradha were present during the review meeting.

The administrative team also inspected the President’s route to ensure smooth passage. Superintendent of Police Shashank Kumar Sawan confirmed that adequate police personnel have been deployed at designated locations to maintain law and order at the event venues and prevent any disruptions.
