The society representatives said when the colony was initially set up, it had only 22 houses. However, the population had significantly increased over the years, yet the sewerage system remains the same which is crumbling now and, thus, incapable of catering to the growing number of residents. The members requested the replacement of the existing sewerage line and the installation of a proper drainage system to manage rainwater effectively.

"We are facing severe problems due to the outdated sewerage system," said Satyakam Arya, president of the Bhamashah Nagar Welfare Society. "The increased population has put additional pressure on the infrastructure, and the current set-up is not equipped to handle it,” he said.

Residents also expressed their concerns over the improper drainage of rainwater, which caused frequent waterlogging and other sanitation-related issues in the area. "The situation has become unbearable and timely action is needed to prevent thedeterioration of the living conditions here," added Ramesh Sharma, Secretary of the Society.

MLA Savitri Jindal listened to the residents' grievances and assured them that she would take action to address their concerns. "I understand the issues the residents are facing. All necessary measures will be taken to resolve these problems at the earliest," said the MLA. "The development of the colony and the well-being of its residents will remain the priority."
