Hisar MC directs govt depts to create property ID and pay tax

The Hisar Municipal Corporation has asked all government departments to get the property ID of land owned by the respective departments created and submit the property tax on the portal of the Urban Local Bodies Department.

MC Commissioner Pradeep Dahiya chaired a meeting of officials of all departments today. He directed the officials to verify and correct details belonging to their respective departments personally on the portal https://property.ulbharyana.gov.in/ by March 4.

“All the government departments of the district must identify their respective properties and get property ID created or if the property ID already exists, then get it rectified, if any correction needed, and to get it verified. If the department officials fail to complete this process, we will write to their higher officials and the officials concerned will be responsible for the delay”, he said.

The commissioner said the MC office would help the departments in this process. “The Municipal Corporation will provide all possible assistance to the government departments for this. The MC has assigned the duty of four clerks of the property branch besides Deputy Municipal Commissioner Virender Saharan and Chief Minister’s Good Governance Associate (CMGGA) Shubham Chaturvedi for the task.”

According to information, only three departments — Sports, Public Health and Environment — have got the property IDs of the land owned by their respective departments created so far.

The sources said the land owned by various departments was lying in the town. In some cases, there are encroachments on the land of the government departments. The MC Commissioner specifically pointed out the encroachment on the land of the Health Department near the Civil Hospital in Hisar. He directed the health officials to get the encroachments removed on their land and register the land on the government portal.

The sources informed that the government departments had not paid the property tax to the MC for many years. But the MC has taken a strong view of the laxity and has directed the officials to complete the process. The sources said in case of further delay in the creating the Property ID and depositing the property tax, the officials concerned could face the action from the higher officials of their respective departments.
