Hisar to host state’s first literature fest

Hisar is set to host Haryana’s first-ever literature festival as the Jindal Literature Festival will be held at Vidya Devi Jindal School from November 21 to 23.

Amitabh Singh Baghel, cultural entrepreneur and director of the festival, said the festival has been founded by Deepika Jindal, an entrepreneur and philanthropist.

Baghel said the festival, titled “Crucible of Conversations”, will be the first major literature festival ever organised in the state. He said the festival will bring together distinguished writers, performers, scholars and creative voices across a wide spectrum of genres, including fiction, poetry, history, performance, journalism, culinary heritage, theatre, folklore, contemporary culture and the performing arts, making the event both intellectually rich and culturally vibrant.
