Hisar university to roll out BSc (nursing) course in regular mode
The 101st meeting of the executive council and the 36th meeting of the university court of Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology (GJUST), Hisar, were held in the committee hall of the Vice-Chancellor’s office on Tuesday. The meeting was presided over by the VC Narsi Ram Bishnoi.
Highlighting several decisions made during the meeting, the VC informed members of the executive council and the university court about the new academic programmes set to launch in the 2025-26 academic session. The university will introduce BSc (nursing), post-basic BSc (nursing) and MA (Sanskrit) courses in regular mode. Additionally, BTech in electrical engineering and computer science, and MBA courses will be offered in the evening session for working professionals.
The university plans to launch 10 online courses through its distance education programme, including MSc in mathematics, MA in Hindi, MA in English, Master in computer applications, BA in mass communication and diplomas in various fields such as guidance and counselling, cyber security, Artificial Intelligence, data science and computer applications. The university will also introduce 15 online certificate courses such as certificate in java, certificate in database management system (DBMS), data structures using C&C++, PHP, HTML with CSS, digital freelancing, social media marketing, information technology (HS-CIT) (A), information technology, advanced tally, banking, financial services and insurance, retail management, python and data entry and data management courses. These courses will be conducted by the Centre for Distance and Online Education of the university in collaboration with Haryana Knowledge Corporation Limited.
Bishnoi informed the Council that the university’s budget of Rs 415.82 crore was approved for the current year. The Haryana Government has allocated Rs 95 crore for the university.
