The three-day Urban Farming Expo and Flower Festival-2025 concluded at Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University (HAU) on Sunday. Chief Secretary Vivek Joshi was the chief guest for the closing ceremony while the event was presided over by Vice-Chancellor Prof BR Kamboj.

Reminiscing about his tenure as the university’s Registrar, Joshi expressed joy in revisiting the campus, describing it as a nostalgic and heart-warming experience. He praised the participants, particularly the prize winners of various competitions, and emphasised the importance of engaging in extracurricular activities along with academics to foster energy and enthusiasm. Joshi awarded prizes to winners of rangoli-, painting-, and mehndi-making competitions among others.

Basic Science and Humanities dean Rajesh Gera announced the winners of competitions. In the mehndi-making contest, Janvi (Siddharth International School) topped School Group-1, while Tamanna (Campus School) won Group-2. In the college category, Devender (Om University) secured the first position. Painting contests saw talents like Navya Jain (Siddharth International School) and Nisha (GCW Hisar) excel.

In horticulture categories, OP Jindal Modern School emerged as a standout, winning multiple prizes for flower arrangements and plants. Mohit Kumar and Anil Kumar also received accolades for their exceptional contributions.
