Hooda congratulates Dahiya, hockey team

Former CM and Leader of Opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda today congratulated wrestler Ravi Dahiya, who won silver in the Tokyo Olympics, and expressed hope of securing more medals in the sport.
Hooda said the entire country was proud of Dahiya. “His performance has been of the highest class throughout the tournament and is an indicator of years of hard work he has put in,” he said.
The former CM also extended congratulations to the hockey team that won a medal in the Olympics after 41 years.
“The hockey medal brings back memories of the golden era of Indian hockey. The way the men’s and women’s teams have performed in this Olympics, it will infuse a new energy among many aspiring players of the next generation,” he said.
Hooda also congratulated Neeraj Chopra, who qualified for the final in the men’s javelin event.
