Hooda demands Haryana Govt to conduct special girdawari to assess crop loss

Hooda, who was accompanied by local MLA Bharat Bhushan Batra and former Rajya Sabha MP Shadi Lal Batra, was interacting with mediapersons at his local residence on Sunday.

“The condition of farm leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal, who is on a fast-unto death, is serious. His life is valuable for all of us. The government should immediately stop being stubborn and initiate talks and find a solution to the serious matter as soon as possible,” said Hooda in response to a media question.

He also said the farmers’ demands were legitimate, and they were not making any new demands. “The Centre has already accepted the demands in principle and the government itself has promised them a legal guarantee of minimum support price (MSP),” he added.

Responding to another question, Hooda said the law and order situation had completely collapsed. “Until the law and order situation is improved, the state witness any development. Due to unemployment and poor law and order, the problem of drug addiction has spread throughout the state. The news of more youth dying of drug addiction in the state than in Punjab is known to all,” he said.

On the question related to the statement of former chief minister and Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, Hooda said Khattar himself was an accidental CM. “The BJP government has no achievements of its own. Despite being in power for 10 years, Haryana has reached the lowest level in terms of per capita income, per capita investment and employment under its rule,” he stated.
