Obituary resolutions were passed during the special session of the Vidhan Sabha today to pay tributes to martyrs who had sacrificed their lives while safeguarding the unity and integrity of the country and prominent personalities who died after the previous session of the House.

Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar read out the obituary resolutions. Speaker Gian Chand Gupta paid tributes to the departed souls. Leader of Opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda also read out obituary resolutions. Members of the House observed two-minute silence to pay homage to the departed souls.

The House paid homage to former MLA Azmat Khan. Tributes were paid to freedom fighters Subedar Kamaljeet Singh of Ambala, Havildar Somdutt of Kharkara village in Rohtak and Sepoy Amandeep of Dudhwa village in Charkhi Dadri.

The House placed on record its deep sense of sorrow over the demise of family members and relatives of sitting and former legislators.
