The decision follows a formal agreement between the MCM and HSIIDC. A recent meeting to finalise the arrangements was chaired by MCM Commissioner Ayush Sinha. HSIIDC AGM Rajiv Goyal, Estate Officer Raj Kumar Jindal and other MCM officials were present.

All amenities, including sewerage, water supply, roads, street lights and the green belt, will now be managed by HSIIDC. “It’s for the betterment of the biggest industrial area in Gurugram. The objective of this initiative is to clearly divide responsibilities and bring transparency to maintenance work. It will ensure that between duty jurisdictions the development doesn’t suffer,” the Commissioner said.

During the meeting, it was decided that both departments would take joint action against illegally parked street vendors in the IMT area. Action will also be taken against those who dump garbage illegally in the HSIIDC area.

Four garbage hotspots have been identified near Hayatpur village in Sector 92, Sector 6, near Greenberg Society in Sector 81, and near Shikohpur village in Sector 79. Boundary walls will be built at these spots and guards deployed to prevent illegal dumping, MCM officials said.

The MCM’s jurisdiction, officially established by the state government on December 24, 2020, includes 30 villages around Manesar and newly developed sectors within these villages. Subsequently, on December 16, 2022, the Haryana Government amended the boundaries of the MCM and MCG, defining the Dwarka Expressway as the dividing line between the two corporations, both of which fall within the Gurugram district.

New sectors added to the MCM’s jurisdiction include Sectors 83, 84, 88 and 88A.

The IMT Manesar area comprises several manufacturing industries, commercial establishments and residential units. Areas under the MCM have been divided into two engineering divisions and seven zones for improved administration. The corporation’s duties include maintenance works such as water supply, sanitation, drainage and roads.
