HSVP sector residents demand better facilities

A delegation from the All Sectors Residents Welfare Association, led by outgoing municipal councillor Kadam Singh Ahlawat, met Bhupendra Singh, Joint Commissioner of the Municipal Corporation, Rohtak, to discuss pressing issues affecting the HSVP sector residents.Highlighting their concerns, Ahlawat stated that many roads in the sectors are in deplorable condition, with several streetlights lying non-functional. He added that the sewage system is clogged in multiple areas, and stormwater drains have not been cleaned adequately, causing significant inconvenience to residents.

The delegation also demanded the installation of CCTV cameras in the sector areas to monitor visitors and curb incidents of burglary and chain-snatching. Additionally, they raised concerns about the menace of stray cattle and monkeys, which not only damage property but also pose a threat to residents by attacking them.

Ahlawat noted that all these issues were discussed in detail, and the Joint Commissioner assured them of action. He informed the delegation that a proposal for repairing pothole-ridden roads in the sectors had already been submitted to the state government for approval. Once approved, a tender for the road construction would be floated, he added.

The delegation included Ranbir Singh Chhillar, Dr Ranjit Singh Malik, Santlal Budhwar, Sunehra Singh Kajal, Pawan Ahuja, Dhanraj Ranga, Deepak Malik, Sukhbir Hooda, Master Om Prakash Sangwan, and Sukhbir Mathur.
