Hundreds of farmers gather at Ambala-Saha road ahead of BJP meet

Hundreds of farmers under the banner of Bhartiya Kisan Union (Charuni) on Sunday gathered on the Ambala-Saha road in Tepla to mark their protest against BJP leaders.

A meeting of the district unit of the BJP is scheduled to be held at Nandlal Gita Vidya Mandir in Tepla on Sunday.

BKU district chief Malkit Singh said that the union has already given the call of protest against every BJP leader and event.

Singh said they gathered after they came to know that Chief Minister Haryana Manohar Lal Khattar will also attend the meeting.

Meanwhile, a heavy police force has been deployed. DSP Headquarters Sultan Singh said, “Efforts are being made to persuade the farmers.”
