I-T raid at Charkhi Dadri mining firm, operations halted
The Income Tax (I-T) Department conducted a raid at the offices of a mining firm operating in the Atela Kalan mining zone of Charkhi Dadri district on Tuesday. The raid, which began in the morning, continued till the evening, leading to a complete halt in mining operations, with a large number of trucks stranded in the area.
Sources revealed that I-T teams, accompanied by CRPF personnel, raided the offices located in Atela Kalan and the residence of the mining operators in Charkhi Dadri town. The firm is reportedly run by brothers Sonu and Monu Pahal, who operate a joint venture at the mining site.
According to initial reports, an I-T team led by Deputy Director Vikas Jakhar arrived in Charkhi Dadri to conduct the operation. CRPF personnel have been deployed at the site and residence, ensuring no outsiders are allowed entry.
“A team of 22 officials is conducting the raid,” sources said. Additionally, another possible raid at the residence of the firm owners is anticipated. The CRPF personnel remain stationed outside key locations to prevent any interference in the ongoing investigation.
