Sirsa, August 9
Congress leader and Sirsa MP Kumari Selja on Thursday said if the Congress returns to power in the state, the Haryana Skill Employment Corporation (HKRN) will be dissolved, and permanent government jobs will be provided to the youth.
She accused the BJP of failing to keep its promises made to the state’s youth.
Various groups, including employees, anganwadi workers, teachers, doctors, nurses, and clerks, were on strike across the state, she said in a statement. Besides, Selja criticised the BJP government for its failure to address the needs of farmers, labourers, women, students and employees, and for causing disruptions in essential services like healthcare due to ongoing strikes.
The Congress leader also condemned the BJP’’s handling of recruitment, particularly the low salaries offered under HKRN, which she argued devalues educated youth.
With over 100,000 vacant positions in government departments and many young people unemployed, she claimed the BJP government had failed to deliver on its promises and that Congress would correct these issues if elected in the ensuing Assembly polls. — OC
