Rohtak Deputy Commissioner Dhirendra Khadgata has stated that the district administration is continuously running a campaign against illegal constructions/colonies in the controlled and urban areas of the district, under which an illegal colony being developed on about 11.25 acres at Sunaria Kalan village was demolished on Tuesday.

Khadgata said a road network, 13 foundations, an illegal construction and a boundary wall were demolished during Tuesday’s operation.

He asserted that illegal colonies and constructions would not be allowed in the district. “Do not buy or sell property in the illegal colonies identified at various revenue estates by the district administration. The demolition campaign against illegal colonies/construction will continue in future as well,” said the Deputy Commissioner.

Rohtak District Town Planner (DTP) Sumandeep has also appealed to the residents not to invest their hard-earned money in illegal constructions or colonies being developed by dealers/landowners as the demolition drive would continue.
